  Thallus pale greenish white, thin, subtartareous, dull. Ascomata inconspicuous, immersed to subsessile, white, scattered or clustered, straight, curved or sinuous, rarely branched, with a conspicuous thalline margin, 1–3 mm long, 0.3–0.5 mm wide; lips initially closed, later opening. Proper exciple absent. Hymenium 150–200 µm thick, I–. Epihymenium black, reddish brown-pruinose. Ascospores 1 per ascus, muriform, (105–) 120–150 (–170) × 30–42 µm, I+ blue-violet.
CHEMISTRY: Protocetraric acid (major), norstictic acid (major or minor), salazinic acid (minor), stictic acid (trace), subvirensic acid (trace), virensic acid (trace), methyl virensate (trace).
     
  Occurs on bark in submontane rainforest in north-eastern Qld; also in the Solomon Islands, Norfolk Island, Singapore and Papua New Guinea.
